Summary

In 2015, Labor Standards Act was modified that the regular working time of workers went from 84 hours a fortnight to 40 hours a week. The government claims that every workers will then have 2 days off every week. At the same time, the Ministry of Labor has amended Labor Standards Act and deleted 7 national holidays.

Although under the pressure of unions and activist groups, currently the amendment is suspended, but still there is dispute on this issue. What are the influences on workers with less national holidays? For part-time workers, manufacturers, logistic workers and telecom workers, what is the impact on their life?
